Step ONE
- Prepare your tools for battle ; felt, scissors, floss, stuffing, needles, anything you want to use in your plushie. Keep it close to you so you don't have to panicking searching for later use.
Step TWO
- Prepare the sketch, design, doodles, or just use your imagination straight!
What? no idea?
here's a tips ; Do anything that are really personal and close to you, it didn't need to be something fancy or hard stuff. Your beloved pet, your family, or just plain cute things like kitten or puppies will do. Just have fun with it!
For this time i'm making my beloved snow foxi ( note ; this is my hubbzy's signature )
Step THREE
- Transfer the design into the felt, I'm using just pen to do it because it's faster - or sometimes just do freely whatever cute stuff come in my head at the moment XD
Step FOUR
- cut cut cut cut cut...la la la la ( ok sorry no photos, i forgot to take it, just imagine I already cut it ok ).
Step FIVE
- Before attaching all the parts, better do the embroidery first ( trust me for this). I use the back stitch, satin stitch, and for the eyes I use weaving stitch.
Try this site, it have almost all the embroidery tutorial and it's really easy to understand.
let's begin to stitch! be careful not to accidentally poke someone with your needle.
tips : be patient! enjoy the pain-staking moment...uh oh... :p
Step SIX
- Add a little teeny-weeny heart for your lovely plushie. Why? Everyone need heart of course!
Attach it in the back of the plushie ( now you can see all my messy stitch, oh my ).
Step SEVEN
- Make your personal signature. It can be your name, nickname, logo, or anything you fancy. I try to make my logo but since this is my first time, well, close enough! XD
Step EIGHT
- Now let's join all together and stuff it, use some beans or rice for the bottom part also so it can sit on their own : 3
Step NINE
- It's done! free to hug it, play with it, admire it, and give it lot of love. Don't worry about some error or imperfection too much. It's what it made it more special one of a kind.
Here's the final one with the close up detail :
Have fun!

welcome to my world - artwork
I have to admit, i rarely make some drawing for someone else. It's because i'm shy and scared they didn't like it.
I didn't trust myself. That is, my drawing skill.
That was the past. The past me.
Now i realize that i need to trust myself if i want to go forward. That i can do this.
For the first time ever ( i think this is really the first time ), i push myself to ask my fellow bestie who is a great illustrator also ( check her blog guys here ), to think of some theme for me to draw for her as a gift.
After a day, she said she want a red whale ( that after a while i just realize that was her icon, lol ), a boy, and a city that resemble Russian Saint Basil's Cathedral.
I know she like a fantasy and conceptual theme as much as i am,
so i was thinking to make this all in some container,
i imagined a bottle, to represent that this is her imagination inside her head,
a world inside,
and she welcome anybody who want to look inside it.
Anything can be happen inside it.
A playground, imagination, a world inside.
so here is the outcome,
welcome to my world.
hope you like it :D

the colors of autumn.
Mother nature are the super-artists of all who create most of the beautiful artworks ever. Like i've been mention before, this is my first time to experience autumn in here and it was gorgeous!
Many times i read in some fairytale or books talking about how pretty is the autumn color. I never imagined i can see it until now.
Here's some of the pictures i took to share for you all :D
Enjoy! ; )

What i've learned 24022012.
Some week ago, i have an urge to eat chinese potsticker ( jiao zi ). I want to make it myself but get scared of failing it.
Then i push myself at last to make it, and it turns out well and nicely even the look of it not so promising i think, here's the evidence ;
The taste are pretty same with what i remember when i still in Indonesia. I really happy that i tried it, it's not too hard actually, i will make more of this later.
#Life, is the same.
We always afraid to do new things for the first time, after you try it and experience it yourself, you eventually gain more courage to do it more and making it better.
Learning from your mistake in the past and move on into new challenges.
Sometimes we scared at first before even try it because see or hear other people said it is hard. But until you try it yourself, how do you know if it really hard? who know if it really easy?
It's like when you open one door,
the other will open also for us.

world and us - artwork.
From the early childhood, I always love to draw my own original characters.
When i'm still at high school, i remember i have one friend that want to make a comic book with me. We sketch, draw, discuss the storyline, the characters, everything.
We we're so excited with it. But because back then we have lot of paperworks, home works, this and that, we eventually forget about it, for that we grow up and take different path ( she's a doctor now).
Until one day, that i feel the urge to revive the characters that we both build many years ago.
It started when i look my old sketches that i have ( i always collect them somehow ) and i'm surprised i still have the sketches.
So here it is, the "revival" of original characters that we make long time ago. Too bad i already forgot their name and story. But i still remember that they both are like brother and sister. The blue one are really chatty, can't fly because it have a small wings, the pinkish are silent one and can fly.
both are a mix of squirrel, bird, and...uhm...butt? lol.
don't laugh, many people think we draw a butt-face animals.
I remember i have the idea from the old comic book that i love so much, pank ponk ( i can't find this anymore sadly ) and mokona from magic knight rayearth.
Maybe i will not, and never make a comic book out of it after all. But with this, i will remember it for the rest of my life.

how i work.
I appreciate lot of great illustrators that not afraid of showing other how they work, and even give tips and tricks on doing it. It's wonderful for learning from them.
Honestly, I hate some illustrators that act arrogant and meanie with, especially, newbie. I still wondering why, but hey, people have they own personality and reasons so let's skip this thing for now.
Admit it,
we all copying other people's style and drawing at first. Human born and learn to do things by copying other people, and that's natural. Inspired by others are natural and normal.
It's what I call a study.
You copy it,
you study it,
you practice it,
break the elements,
explore it,
then put it in your own style
and develop it even more,
be playful with it,
be creative,
Do not plagiat. Please.
Plagiarism it's different ; it's not a creative and not a smartest things to do.
Truthfully, I believe that I still need lot of training, experiences, and keep on learning. But here I will show you my usual basic steps when i do illustration works.
The steps for every single people are different, It's best we try what's the best for us :
1. Sketching
Manual drawing ; yeah as traditional as it might seems - pencil and paper. I don't know why but doing sketches with tablet still give me a wobbly-sluggish feel, it didn't feel same with the traditional one.
I do a really rough sketches first, tweak it here and there, and usually leave it a while or a day, so i can see if there some error.
*This work like magic, if you do a drawing or maybe other things also - leave it for sometime or day. Sometimes our eyes are too tired or too used to it that we often didn't see any error. That's why it's nice to *give-a-break* to our eyes.
*Other trick to see error ; put your drawing facing the mirror and voila! you can see clearly if there's error or some unbalanced elements like the right ear are bigger than the left one, or the right *boobs* are slightly more bigger than the left...wait, what???
2. Inking
Still manual and traditional way ; with pen and ink. The permanent ink, i find out they mostly are paper friendly- it didn't *blot* the paper and eliminate the OMG-my-line-art-are-damn-ruined expression.
I'm not picky with paper, but i prefer the one that usually smooth texture - it's more easier later for removing the eraser debris.
There is something calming when I do bold-thick line art inking. It give some relaxing feel ; that's why i chose this style as the best for me.
After finalizing inking the line art , the fun part! ; remove all the pencil mark with eraser. Do it gently or it will tear the paper, and make sure the ink are dry already.
3. Scanning
Loud and clear, nuff said :p
4. Coloring
Finally we're going digital!
Tablet is your best friend here ; but for simple coloring I used my normal mouse. Just clean out the line art, pick a color, paint all areas, then after you finish for the first time, take a break again sometime or day. Duplicate - flatten it, adjust the color, and save it for further pleasure,
Done! :D
Upload it and admire your works.

nailart addict.
Much of all my obsessions and addictions i got, this is so far one of the tricky addiction i have.
It's always hard to do this for my right hand even though i'm quite used to it, i need to wear mask to prevent my nosey-allergy, need time to wait ( for them to dry ) and try not damaging them by touching and doing stuff, and most annoying part is you *accidentally* break them after all your hard work!
Having a cooking hobby are not a good idea pairing with nail art hobby. You tend to break them somehow, most of the time get a cut when chopping foods. House chores also break them even though you already try as careful as you can ( or is it just me :p ).
Thats why now i don't grow my fingernails too long anymore. Actually it's not that bad with short nails ( yes i'm comforting myself, lol ) they can be look sexy also depend on how you make the design.
Here's are some of my nail art that i made this past year, probably i won't have this longer nails again.
This year christmas design, i love this China Glaze Red-Pumps look on the nail. Too bad my camera can't show too much of the sparkle. In the reality it have more glittery-sparkle looking. I bought this one and fell in love with it ; for my chinese-theme engagement party which suit my red-gold cheong-sam dress.
Kitty design!
i'm using some gel paint pen for making this. It took some time and hard to apply. I think this was my first time painting something on my nails.
The polkadots design are the most easiest to make and it looks cute, i don't think you will be bored with this design. I'm using the dotting tools, although you can just use any tools you have currently. Just be creative with it :D
So far this is the most *complicated* time-consuming design. But the outcome are satisfying don't you think?
Mostly, making the gradient effect are annoying, i need to use sponge for it and be patient. I'm trying to make a fresh-lemonade-lemon-ice effect for this one.
While most of the nail lacquer's bottle usually have normal design, this one i think is the most creative from most of all brand ; the Nfu-Oh. They transform the a boring bottle into a women's sexy-bust like :D
This brand have a lot of unique colors. Like the glittering effect for this one can make a *mermaid-scales* effect ( Nfu-Oh 52 ). One of my favorite also, although hard to apply if you didn't use any base color first because of the translucent liquid. Applying this into scale effect might take 4-5 layering for me.
